WE BELIEVE IN SHARING THE LEGACY OF UTRECHT WITH OUR COMMUNITY. SEE HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN A VARIETY OF EVENTS INCLUDING TOURS, LECTURES, DEMONSTRATIONS, AND MORE.

  • Utrecht Paint Factory Tour

With a storied history in the Brooklyn NY, we’ve produced paints in our facility for over 50 years. Occasionally, we open our doors to select groups of artists to learn more about the craftsmanship that goes into every tube of our professional artists’ paints. Participants visit our chemists and see first-hand techniques for testing paint consistency, watching paint being mixed and milled, and learn about the history of Utrecht paints. Previous participants include Urban Sketchers NYC, Cleveland Institute of Art, and the American Impressionist Society.

  • “I Heart Plein Air” — Chicago

Members of our team have given talks on various plein air painting techniques. Other expert artists have presented on topics such as the history of plein air, inspiration, and more as well as hosted Q&As. We have proudly supported this event with demonstrations featuring our Cadmium-Free Artists’ Colors and offered free samples for attendees to experience the paint for themselves.

  • Savannah Art Association

We’ve been thrilled to act as a guest judge for “Paint Out” — a plein air event that promotes Savannah’s historic squares, monuments, and other attractions. Our past support has also included a lecture with a hands-on, live painting demonstration. The proceeds from artists who donate their pieces to the event’s art sale help causes such as the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.

  • Illinois High School Art Exhibition

As a lead sponsor, our efforts help more than 140 high schools in the region build their art programs and continue in their creative careers. We provide an array of demonstrations, prizes, and freebies from our vendors and community partners in support of this one-of-a-kind high school art show. In the last several years, we have hosted live painting demonstrations featuring Utrecht oils for the students, families, and instructors in attendance.

  • In-Store Demonstrations

As a leader in developing cadmium-free paints and providing safer alternatives for artists, we have held several BLICK in-store demonstrations featuring our Cadmium-Free Artists’ Colors. Attendees had the chance to try the paints for themselves and compare them to our cadmiums on specific features such as mass tone, undertone, tint, opacity/transparency, and shade. Our Cadmium-Free Artists’ Colors offer consistent color spacing and improved richness and brilliance.
