Depending on the printmaking technique, the inks may need to be adjusted slightly with a Gamblin modifier. Temperature, humidity, the type of plate, and the type of paper all affect how inks perform. The Manufacturer recommends adding small amounts at a time since little is needed to add body to an ink. Make sure you mix well. It can be used with both Etching and Relief Inks. 


**237 ml**  - Burnt Plate Oils are used to reduce ink viscosity. They should be added sparingly, as the detail of a print might be lost if the ink becomes too fluid. Gamblin Burnt Plate Oil #000 has less tack and is a good match for use with Gamblin Relief Inks.

**473 ml**  - Magnesium Carbonate is traditionally used to stiffen inks and reduce their gloss level. It works well with both Gamblin Etching Inks and Gamblin Artist's Colors Relief Inks. Once combined, it becomes transparent and will not alter the color of the ink. Only a small amount is needed to increase body, so add it sparingly and mix well.


**150 ml**  - Tack Reducer is a gel made from a very light drying oil. Because it is transparent, it does not alter the color intensity of the ink. Add it in small amounts to efficiently reduce tack.
