More stable and durable than lighter-weight canvas, so it stands up well to heavier paint applications. Blick Premier Heavyweight Cotton Canvas is made with 100% pure, heavyweight cotton duck with a 20 oz. post-primed weight. Coated with three applications of acid-free acrylic gesso, suitable for oil or acrylic painting. Evenly stretched around kiln-dried pine stretcher bars. Back-stapled with blanket-fold corners. Larger sizes are cross-braced for extra support.

Blick Premier Cotton Canvas features hand-woven, medium texture 100% cotton, prepared with two applications of premium-quality, acid-free acrylic gesso. Carefully hand-sanded between coats for a smooth, luxurious surface with excellent tooth. 10 oz. raw weight. 15 oz. post-primed weight. Stretched on hefty, kiln-dried, solid pine stretcher bars. Larger sizes are braced for extra support. Secured on the back with a spline, with minimal staples so there are no bulky corner folds.
