Van Gogh Hard Pastels are square-shaped, richly pigmented hard pastels ideal for sketching. Convenient and easy to use, these pastels produce very little dust. Use the edge of the stick for tight drawing and the broad side to lay in large areas of color. 

Each stick measures 2-3/8" (60 mm) long and is 5/16" (8 mm) square.
