Liquitex Soluvar Matte Varnish is an archival yet removable varnish For acrylic and oil paintings that uses UV light stabilizers for protecting color.  Apply as a final varnish over dry acrylic or dry oil paint. Available in bottle and aerosol spray can. Matte finish. •Low viscosity, very fluid.  •Lowers intensity and depth of color, while reducing the surface glare.  •Protects painting surface and allows for removal of surface dirt, without damaging painting underneath. •Dries to a clear, non-tacky, water resistant, hard film that is resistant to retention of dirt and prevents dirt and pollutants from contacting paint surface.  •Self-leveling. Will not hold brush strokes.  •Flexible. Will not crack as surface expands and contracts during temperature and humidity changes.  •Resists discoloring (non-yellowing, non-fogging) due to humidity, heat and ultraviolet light. •Protects painting against harsh elements.  •Removable by using mineral spirits or turpentine. •For interior and exterior use.   Application Tips: •Mix with a gloss finish to vary the sheen.  •Can be thinned up to 25% with mineral spirits or turpentine. Do not use Odorless Mineral Spirits. •Application may be done by brush or spray. Generally a sprayed application will be thinner, smoother and more even. Rolling or sponging application is not recommended.  •Painting surface and environment must be clean, dry and dust free.  •Allow oil paint to dry for 6 months to one year and acrylic paint for a minimum of 72 hours. Thickness of application will determine exact length of time.  •If an oil painting is not dry before it is sealed with a varnish, the result may be long-term problems such as cracking or blistering.  •Varnish may become non-removable if applied over a painting that has not completely dried and cured.

Liquitex Professional Heavy Body Acrylic Paints (Cadmium-Free Colors)

This heavy body acrylic paint has a thick consistency for traditional art techniques using brushes and knives, as well as experimental, mixed media, collage and printmaking applications. Impasto applications retain crisp brush strokes and knife marks. Good surface drag provides excellent handling and blending characteristics with increased open-working time. The high pigment load produces rich, brilliant, permanent color. They thin, mix and clean with water and do not yellow with age.

It is even-leveling and will retain almost no brush strokes. Liquitex Soft Body has a concentrated pigment load to produce intense colors and exhibits excellent coverage. It works well with traditional painting on canvas or panels, especially for fine detail or underpainting. It is also perfect for decorative techniques, such as fabric painting, faux finishing, and illustration.
