GAC's can be blended with Golden Acrylic Paints to extend the paint, regulate transparency, create glazes, increase gloss, reduce viscosity or improve adhesion and film integrity. The GAC polymers can also be used for binding pigment solids for various effects and surfaces. Unlike the other Golden Mediums and Gels, GAC Acrylic Polymers have only a minimum amount of thickeners, levelers, defoamers and surfactants to ensure good film formation.  GAC 800: Reduced Crazing of Dried Films. Best for Direct Pouring.   • Most useful as an additive for acrylic paints when pours/puddles are desired to dry with the same film thickness and smoothness as when wet. Most acrylics will craze, which is the formation of valleys that run through a pour/puddle nullifying the uniformity of the film. Such crazing is the result of shrinkage forces exerted during the drying process. GAC 800 stands alone in its resistance to such film discontinuity.   • Dries with good gloss and film flexibility, but with a slight "hazy" quality.  • Useful as a modifier when adhesion to chalky surfaces is desired. **GAC 100 Medium, 8 oz bottle**  - Dilute and extend colors, and increase flexibility and film integrity. Wets out solids more readily than other polymers, and is useful for artists making their own paints.


**GAC 500 Medium, 8 oz bottle**  - Adds a self-leveling working quality and dries to a high gloss finish with good transparency. Increases mar resistance, and decreasing dry film tack.


**GAC 800 Medium, 8 oz bottle**  - Use when puddles must dry with the same evenness and smoothness as when wet. Dries with good gloss and flexibility but with moderate clarity. Also ideal for priming chalky surfaces.

Golden's Acrylic Polymer Varnish with ultra violet light stabilizers (UVLS) is a topcoat for your acrylic paintings. It offers a removable protective surface whose UVLS provide additional protection from ultraviolet radiation to help delay fading that happens in some materials. Dries to a protective, flexible, dust-resistant surface. Matte finish is extremely flat—more than most matte finishes. Remove with ammonia. This removable varnish can be very useful in restoring or cleaning a painting.    Polymer Varnish Features:  •Water-based acrylic polymer varnish with ultraviolet light protection. •Flexible film when dry is still harder than most acrylics, reducing your painting's susceptibility to dust and dirt while providing more protection from moisture, marring and scratching.  •Flexible enough to withstand normal handling conditions like loose rolling.  •Soluble in alkaline solvents like ammonia which means you can easily remove the varnish along with any accumulated surface contamination without damaging your painting.  •The Satin finish varnish gives moderate reflection, similar to many matte finish varnishes. For a flatter finish, use the Matte finish version of Golden's Polymer Varnish with UVLS. For a more reflective surface, use Golden's Polymer Varnish with UVLS with a Gloss finish. You can also mix the different finishes together or use them sequentially to achieve your desired sheen. *Note: Using either the Satin or Matte finish versions of Golden's Polymer Varnish, like most non-gloss varnishes, will lighten dark value colors.   Polymer Varnish Application Notes: •For use on acrylic paintings only. •Golden's Polymer Varnishes are formulated thicker than most applications' viscosity to ensure more consistent performance when applied to your surface. Therefore, the varnish must be thinned for most applications. •As always, Golden recommends testing before widespread use.  •For conservation and varnish removal applications, Golden recommends using a permanent isolation coat before applying the varnish. An isolation coat is a permanent, non-removable coating that physically separates your painting's surface from the removable varnish. If you have any questions or concerns about isolation coats, please call Golden’s Technical Support Department at (800) 959-6543.  •Golden recommends applying its polymer varnishes via spray or a brush. •Golden recommends interior use only, not for use on furniture or surfaces subject to physical contact during use and not for use by children. Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint and Sets, assorted colors, 1 oz

A low viscosity, lightfast, pourable acrylic with the same high pigment strength as Golden Heavy Body Acrylics. Golden Fluid Acrylics have a consistency similar to heavy cream, without fillers or extenders. Enjoy high tinting strength, good adhesion, flexibility, fine dispersion, and consistent flow from the brush. Can be mixed with Golden Gel Mediums. Golden Artist Colors, Inc. originally began creating this fluid line for artists who wanted a rich, undiluted paint with low viscosity that could be poured and dripped, used for staining, or applied as a spray.

The original line of Golden Heavy Body Acrylic Paint is known for exceptionally smooth, thick buttery consistency. It contains the largest assortment of unique pure pigments in a 100% Acrylic Emulsion vehicle available to the professional artist. These colors offer excellent permanency and lightfastness. There are no fillers, extenders, opacifiers, toners, or dyes added. Each heavy body color is formulated differently depending on the nature of the pigment. Colors that tolerate higher pigment "loads” dry to a more opaque, matte finish. Colors that are more reactive and do not accept high pigment loading dry to a glossy finish and tend to be more transparent. Heavy body colors contain no additives, such as matting agents, therefore the gloss of each color will be different.
