This is the perfect surface for those artists looking for a dark sanded substrate. The color of the paper fluctuates depending on the grit — the higher the grade, the smaller the pigment. The 400 and 500 grit provide a rich, dark black color, and the 600 and 800 grit tend toward a charcoal color.
