Golden Pastel Ground is a textured acrylic medium designed to prepare surfaces for the application of pastels, charcoal, oil and acrylic paint, and other art media where a coarse tooth is desired. Off-white and translucent.    Note: Golden Acrylic Mediums have a new look, but their reliable quality remains unchanged. Most products just have new labels, but you will notice a few items also have updated names. Please note that during this transition in stock, you may receive product with new and/or old packaging. Rest assured, they both contain the same outstanding formulations you've come to know and trust.

Golden Pumice Gel Medium - Fine, 8 oz jar

Used for making textures or grounds for drawing, Golden Pumice Gel Mediums dry to a hard film. Blend Pumice Gels with Golden acrylic colors, or mix in other Golden gels or mediums to increase flexibility. 

Fine Pumice Gel Medium dries to a warm gray, translucent, matte, and toothy surface that’s ideal as a ground for pencils, pastels, and similar drawing media. Coarse and Extra Coarse Pumice Gel Mediums dry to an opaque gray, porous texture and have a rough concrete appearance.


Used to create fine textured surfaces.  Dries to a hard film.  To increase its flexibility, mix in other Golden gels or mediums.

Gel mediums provide unlimited ways to manipulate acrylic colors. A great opportunity to experiment with a sampling of gel products that provide unlimited ways to manipulate acrylic colors. Set includes six jars: soft gel (gloss), regular gel (semi-gloss), extra heavy gel (matte), light molding paste, coarse pumice gel, clear tar gel, and a product sample card.
