SAME CADMIUM PERFORMANCE WITHOUT THE SAFETY CONCERNS.

    AP Certified

The new paints have earned AP Non-Toxic certification by the Art and Creative Materials Institute, which means they do not contain materials in sufficient quantities to cause health problems.

    ARTIST TESTED & APPROVED

In recent blind tests, artists were asked to test and compare the tone, tint, and opacity of the cadmium-free colors to their cadmium color counterparts — without knowing which was which. The majority of respondents reported equal or improved color spacing and prefer using oil paints and supplies that reduce health concerns without sacrificing quality.

HERE'S WHAT SOME HAD TO SAY

    • "Great pigment potency and covering capacity — the colors are a real stimulus on my palette. I love how solid and permanent each brushstroke is when applied to the canvas. The cad-free formula makes exposure to oil paint worry-free."

    • "I'm passionate about working in oils. The Utrecht brand has always been a "go to" for me. The new cadmium-free series of oils is exciting both because of the tones and because of Utrecht's commitment to value, safety, and the working artist."

    • "I removed cads from my palette a few years back over environmental concerns. Utrecht Artists' Oil Colors are produced here in the U.S., where quality control is superior. I am super glad to see a viable alternative."
