This is a great easel! I have had this easel for about 5 years and I have only the best to say about it. Sturdy, easy to operate and adjust. Folds for transport or storage easily to fit in really smal spaces (e.g. behind bookcase). Highly recommend.

  • compact, yet BIG!

I wanted an easel that was compact and portable, yet strong and would accommodate a large board. This is dead easy to set up and adjust, is strong, and collapses down to a portable size; weight is about 20 lbs. If you want small and lightweight, this isn't it. If you want strong and portable this is great. It can handle canvases up to 65" high. The base is quite stable, and you can easily adjust the angle up to vertical. I lined the tray and top holder with $0.89 of adhesive backed foam for extra grip to prevent slipping. With the top fully extended up the top gets a little bouncy when you push against it. if the bouncing will be a problem then you need a full size easel. For its portability, the bouncing may be something you learn to work around.
