Montana Gold spray paint is a fast-drying spray paint featuring a low pressure cap and valve system whose accuracy makes it a favorite among pros. The Gold line of spray paint cans has been improved recently with new colors added to what was already the widest color assortment in the street art and graffiti market as well as an optimized re-formulation which eliminates color bleaching and cracking found in other artist spray paints.

Metallic Colors Note — Do not use a topcoat as it will dull the finish and destroy the shiny look of the metallic colors. Glossy topcoats will also change the appearance the metallic colors have right out of the can. Metallic colors also shouldn't be applied to surfaces that will be touched often — the pigments sit on top of the paint and will wear and come off with repeated contact.

  • Nice Color, but Don't Handle Finished Pieces

    Experience: PROFESSIONAL

This spray gives a great golden finish, a realistic, honey-toned, true-to-life gold color, with a good sheen and an excellent reflective quality, which most of its competitors lack. I used this spray on many different materials, including wood, metal, shell, paper, and dried leaves. For the items I sprayed that I had to handle moderately after drying, the finish was easily damaged by fingerprints, turning brown/brassy in touched spots. I tried protecting the finish with a Montana Gold Glossy Varnish, which destroyed the Goldchrome finish, turning all of it brown (it says on the can that the varnish will disrupt the "chrome particles" in the paint, but I was desperate to protect the finish). I would only use this spray on items that could be sprayed, then never touched again, like a picture frame hung on a wall.
