  • It's OK

If you don't feel like building your own easel or spending a bunch of money, then this is ok. There aren't any holes along the wood for adjusting the easel. You either have to trust the knobed screws will hold your canvas or you need a drill to add some holes in the wood to screw in the knobed screws.

  • Great Easel - TERRIBLE Assembly Instructions

    Reviewed on 5/24/2016

    As reviewed by Donna R.

    Experience: PROFESSIONAL

This is an excellent easel that is sturdy, well-made, and simple to adjust. It's stable for painting and heavy. It also folds for storage. HOWEVER! The instructions which were included for assembling the easel were absolutely, inexcusably TERRIBLE. The instructions consisted of one picture after another showing how the parts were to be put together. The pictures were very small and hard to decipher. While all the parts and hardware were included, only the hardware was labeled. The various wooden parts of the easel were not labeled and I had to study the silly pictures trying to understand which piece I needed and which way to connect it. I cannot emphasize enough: REALLY REALLY REALLY POOR INSTRUCTIONS. I spent about an hour assembling -- and taking apart and reassembling -- this easel. I do think this easel is worth the aggravation of the terrible instructions for the price, but if you aren't handy, you're probably going to need help and possibly will want to strangle someone before you're finished. Best of luck! *****UTRECHT RESPONSE***** We apologize for the frustration you encountered in the assembly of this easel.
