Painter Carl Plansky developed Williamsburg Oils in 1986 while pursing his passion in pigments, oils, mediums and old-world recipes. Williamsburg is made with the purest pigments and premium, alkali-refined linseed oil that is ground to enhance the beauty and luminosity of each particular pigment.

For example, Cerulean Blue has a beautiful, velvet, light-absorbing surface with an extremely strong covering power, while their Burnt Sienna will often be chunky or gritty to allow light to travel through the vehicle, exposing rich golden or mahogany undertones instead of just heavy, dull browns.
