Utrecht offers you some of the most competitive online shipping rates in the fine art supplies industry. See table below for our standard, non-expedited ground shipping rates.

Free Ground Shipping Over $150*

Free Ground Shipping is valid for online orders with a product total, after discounts and before taxes are applied, of $150 or more that are shipping within the 48 contiguous states. Some exclusions apply.

Flat Rate Ground Shipping Promotions*

From time to time, Utrecht may offer a promotional flat rate on non-expedited ground shipping for all orders that do not qualify for free ground shipping. Online, the promotional flat rate will be applied when you enter an applicable promotion code in the shopping cart promotion code box.

When placing orders by phone, the flat rate will be applied when an applicable key code is provided to your customer service representative. If you are shopping from one of our catalogs, your key code is located on the back cover next to your Customer ID number.

When available, the flat ground shipping rate applies to eligible orders with an in-stock merchandise total, after discounts and before taxes are applied, that falls below the promotions' stated minimum purchase requirement for free ground shipping. For example, a flat rate promotion using our standard Non-Expedited Ground Shipping Rates would apply the flat rate to eligible orders of $149.99 or less. Some restrictions apply.

Ground Shipping Terms and Restrictions

* Flat rate ground shipping and free ground shipping offers do not apply to:

• oversize/overweight items that require special handling. On our site, this distinction and the accompanying handling charge are denoted in the item's description.
• items that have to be shipped by special carrier instead of our normal ground shipping methods, denoted on our site as 'truck ship'
• flammable items
• items that ship directly from our factories or from vendors, denoted on our site as 'drop ship'
• any order whose total aggregate weight exceeds 100 lbs
• orders whose shipping destination is located outside the 48 contiguous United States

Additional shipping and handling charges apply to all orders containing:

• drop ship items
• oversize items
• overweight items
• flammable items
• items whose total aggregate weight exceeds 100 lbs.

Any order that exceeds 300 lbs. ships via truck. Customer service contacts you regarding the applicable charges.

Shipping Calculations

Ground Shipping / Free Ground Shipping Calculation

All ground shipping calculations, including eligibility for free ground shipping, are based on your order's product total after any promotional discounts are applied and before any sales tax is applied. For example, if your cart contains $150 worth of merchandise, you live in a state where the sales tax is 7% and you apply a $10 discount to the cart, then the ground shipping calculation is based on $150 - $10 = $140.

Eligibility for Free Ground Shipping Offers

To determine eligibility for any free ground shipping offer, the shopping cart compares your order total, as defined in the preceding paragraph, to your offer's minimum purchase requirement for free ground shipping. If you have not reached your offer's purchase requirement, the cart will calculate the difference for you. Please note that in some situations, it is possible to receive a message stating you have not met the minimum purchase requirement for free shipping when it appears that your order total, as defined above, exceeds the requirement. In those cases, your cart most likely contains an item or items that are not eligible for free ground shipping and the order total of your eligible items does not meet the applicable minimum purchase requirement.

Additional Shipping and Handling Calculation

All orders containing drop ship, oversize, overweight, flammable or whose total aggregate weight exceeds 100 lbs. are subject to additional shipping and handling fees.

Except for weight-related surcharges, the shopping cart determines if you have any items requiring additional shipping and handling fees and applies those fees to your shipping charges. When your cart includes items that require additional shipping or handling fees, it is possible for you to have an order incurring shipping charges even though your order total, as defined above, exceeds the applicable free ground shipping purchase requirement.

Orders with Aggregate Weight Exceeding 100 lbs

Customer Service notifies you if your order exceeds the 100 lb. limit and, at that time, provides a quote for your total shipping charges, including the additional weight-related surcharges. Since those surcharges are calculated on an individual order basis the shopping cart's shipping calculator does not provide estimates for those charges. As noted in our ground shipping terms, these orders are not eligible for free ground shipping. Any order that exceeds 300 lbs. ships via truck by special carrier and those applicable charges will be included in your shipping quote when customer service contacts you. Truck Ship Items

Truck ship items cannot be delivered by parcel carrier. These items are marked accordingly in the item description. Shipping Rates will be calculated for you during the checkout process. All rates quoted are for delivery to a dock or curbside only. Lift gate and inside delivery will incur additional fees - please contact Customer Service for a quote. Please be prepared to provide the item number and the delivery address.

Please Note: free freight/shipping promotions do not apply towards orders with truck ship items. Additionally, expedited shipping is not available for truck ship items. Any order that exceeds 300 lbs. ships via truck by special carrier and customer service contacts those customers regarding the applicable charges.

Oversized or Overweight Items

Some of the items we offer are too large or too heavy for delivery by parcel carrier. These items are typically shipped by truck and additional shipping charges may apply. A physical address and phone number are required for delivery of these items. Each oversized item is marked online accordingly in the individual item description page. Please Note: free freight promotions do not apply towards orders with oversized or overweight items.

Drop Ship/Manufacturer Direct Items

For items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer or the manufacturer's warehouse, additional charges apply. Drop shipments typically take 2 weeks for delivery. Exceptions will be noted in the product description. Drop ship items are shipped for curb side delivery or dock delivery only.

Shipping charges for Drop Ship items that are shipped via truck are for curb or dock delivery only. Please Note: free freight promotions do not apply towards orders with drop ship items.

Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-223-9132, if you have any questions regarding a drop ship item. Canceling of a drop ship item once the order is received, will be assessed a restocking fee and shipping charges will not be refunded.

Please contact our Customer Service Department if you prefer to process any changes or return a drop ship item. Our Customer Service Department would be happy to contact the vendor to notify them of the return and provide a return authorization number. Returns due to customer ordering error are the responsibility of the customer to return directly to the vendor with the return authorization number. The shipping charges will not be refunded or reimbursed. A restocking fee will apply.

** NOTE: Drop rates noted on our website are based on shipping within the 48 contiguous US only. A customer service representative will contact you to provide a freight quote for shipping outside of the 48 contiguous states.

Expedited Shipping

We offer a variety of expedited shipping choices for your convenience.

Expedited orders received on normal business days (Monday-Friday) by 12 noon EST (Eastern Standard Time) can ship the same day, excluding holidays. Overnight or Next Day orders placed on Friday by 12 noon EST will be delivered the next business day, excluding holidays. We do not ship on Saturday, Sunday or holidays.

For same day shipping, orders must be received by 12 noon EST for receipt the next business day. Shipping days are counted as working business days.

Expedited Service does not apply to oversized, overweight, hazardous or flammable materials, drop ship items or deliveries to APO/FPO addresses outside the 48 contiguous states. Backorders are shipped standard ground for free. Call 800-223-9132 if you have any questions about your delivery.

Expedited shipping rates are calculated in real time in our shopping cart. To determine your rate please proceed through the normal check out process. If you are unsuccessful getting expedited rates in your shopping cart, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-223-9132 for assistance.

Please note that Drop Ship and Truck Ship items are not eligible for expedited shipping.

The Expedited Three Day Delivery service for an additional $14.99 does not apply to orders exceeding 100 lbs., oversize, flammable and drop ship items, or deliveries to APO/FPO addresses.

Shipping Back Ordered Items

All Back Ordered items are shipped ground delivery as soon as they are received in our warehouse. Backordered items totaling less than $10.00 are automatically cancelled when the order is processed except for class list orders.

Shipping Outside the 48 Contiguous States

Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico Orders

Utrecht offers delivery by United States Postal Service (USPS). Free shipping offers do not apply to orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. USPS shipments cannot exceed 70 lbs. per package. We can not ship flammable items or expedite USPS shipments.

Orders containing boxes measuring 18 x 24 or larger will be charged an oversize shipping charge of $108.00 per box plus any applicable shipping charges associated with the remaining items. Customer Service contacts you to authorize those charges in advance of shipment.

Canadian Orders

We can only ship items labeled with a "NAFTA" designation to Canada. If your order contains items that are not part of the NAFTA agreement we will contact you by email. Eligible shipments will be delivered by FedEx. Flammable items cannot be shipped to Canada. Additional taxes and duties may apply. Delays are common when shipping to Canada due to customs and duty review.

International shipments

Utrecht ships via FedEx International to most destinations around the world. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-223-9132 or 1-609-409-8001 to place your order. Upon receiving your order, Utrecht’s Customer Service department will contact you by email to inform you of the shipping and handling fees. Any additional taxes, duties, and customs fees charged for International delivery are not the responsibility of Utrecht. These cannot be established before shipping. We are unable to remove pricing from documents as the correct value must be shown.

Backordered items may incur an additional shipping charge. Utrecht does not accept International credit cards. Free shipping promotions do not apply to international shipments. Hazardous and flammable items can not ship via FedEx International. A phone number is required for delivery.

FPO/APO Shipments

Utrecht ships via USPS to an APO/FPO. Please contact our Customer Service Department for a freight quote. Utrecht does not offer free shipping and expedited shipping options to an APO/FPO. Backordered items may incur an additional shipping charge. We can not ship flammable items to an APO/FPO.
