Utrecht takes precautions to make sure that the information you submit for payment of an order is protected online. We employ 40-bit encryption technology to secure the transmission of sensitive information, such as your name and credit card number. This encryption prevents any third party from intercepting this information over the Internet. This encryption is active only on the pages in which payment information is entered. To verify on which pages the encryption is active, look to the address bar on your browser; the leading segment of the URL changes from "http://" to "https://" to signify a secure page. Browsers Explorer and Netscape display padlock-like icons on secure pages as well.
