Responsibilities:

The Assistant Manager 1 position is a senior management position in each store organization. This is the individual who will step in and run the entire operation in the Store Manager’s absence, both for short and extended periods of time. This is also the individual who is in training to become a Store Manager. Duties and responsibilities for this position include monitoring and participating in all the daily operations, strategic planning, training and development, outreach, and an overall positive Guest – friendly environment.
This is a fulltime position. We offer medical/dental, matching 401K, company paid life insurance, PTO and generous employee discount.
Qualified applicant must have previous retail supervisory experience and knowledge of art supplies.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Involvement in the training and development of all new associates.
2. Overseeing all day to day operations of the store.
3. Support of the Store Manager in achieving the financial goals of the store (i.e. sales, payroll, controllable expenses, margin).
4. Support in controlling both an accurate and balanced inventory and shrink level.
5. Support in overseeing and participating in monitoring and reacting to competition in the local marketplace.
6. Support in overseeing and participating in the store’s Outreach program.
7. Overseeing and monitoring all the merchandising standards of the store.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. Continue your management training and commitment to personal growth within the company.
2. To be a proactive part of the creative process within the store, in terms of merchandising, outreach planning, and all other market oriented situations.
3. To both learn and apply necessary but fair disciplinary standards to the associate group within the store.
4. Exhibit and maintain an above average product knowledge.
5. Make fiscally responsible decisions in support of the Store Manager, in terms of payroll and staffing, marketing strategies, Guest requests and needs, and any other operational issue that comes up in the course of daily business.
6. To communicate responsibly to the Store Manager, the associate staff, the central organization and the store Guest and Outreach audience.
Goals (Quantifiable) and Objectives (Qualitative):
Goals:
1. To achieve controllable expense and payroll budgets.
2. To achieve sales, gross margin and profit budgets.
3. To achieve stock plan and shrink guidelines.
Objectives:

Responsibilities:
|
A Key Holder is an hourly associate who has been given the additional responsibility of opening and/or closing the store (or an associated satellite location). This associate has mastered all daily associate responsibilities. With the keys to the store come an alarm code, the safe combination, an elevated cash register authorization code, and the responsibility of leading the staff and representing the company in the absence of senior managers.
This can either be a fulltime or parttime position. Fulltime offers medical/dental, matching 401K, company paid life insurance, PTO and generous employee discount. Part time offers matching 401K and generous employee discount.
Qualified applicant should have some previous experience with cash office responsibilities. Art background is a plus.
Must be able to open and close the store as needed.
Chosen applicant will be required to submit to a background check.
This person should be open to training for a managerial position in the future.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. To be totally familiar with the opening and closing procedures, and the daily operational procedures of the store.
2. To present to the guests a positive, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional manner.
3. To operate the store in a professional and fiscally responsible manner during those periods when there is no senior management in the building.
4. To insure that any action plans left by senior store management are properly executed.
5. To communicate with the store’s senior management and the central organization as necessary in transacting the company’s business.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. To monitor and participate in the daily guest service, recovery, cleanup, stock fill-ins, and receiving activities in the store.
2. To run and supervise the operation of cash registers, and back office procedures.
3. To exhibit and maintain an above average product knowledge.

Goals:
1. To control register shortages, the safe count, and any other issues of fiscal responsibility on your shift.
2. To help in control of paper shrink and theft on your shift.
3. To maintain operational control and order, as well as guest comfort, on you’re shift.

1. To adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
2. To be punctual, responsible, and to respect and communicate professionally and completely with both our guests and our associates alike.
3. To follow through on any and all directions (action plans) left by senior management for your attention. |
