The AM2 is the highest ranking hourly associate within a store’s organization. With the keys to the store comes an alarm code, the safe combination, an elevated cash register authorization code, the responsibility of leading the store staff and representing the company in the absence of the senior managers. This individual may also be called upon to run the entire store operation for either an opening or closing shift, or an entire day once, twice or more in any given week.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. To be totally familiar with all the operational policies and procedures of running a Utrecht retail store.
2. To keep that store running in a professional and fiscally responsible manner during those periods when there is no senior management in the building.
3. To communicate with store associates and Guests positively and completely while in charge of the store operation.
4. To communicate with the store’s senior management, the central organization and the other store personnel as necessary in transacting the company’s business.
5. To insure that any action plans left by senior store management are properly attended to, and in the absence of one, to create and administrate an action plan for each shift being managed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. To continue your management training and commitment to personal growth within the company.
2. To be a proactive member of the creative process within the store, in terms of merchandising, associate training and overall strategic planning of the store.
3. To exhibit and maintain an above average product knowledge.
4. To monitor the daily operational functions, such as cleaning and dusting, facings and fill-ins, janitorial issues, telephone etiquette, dress code, etc.

Goals:
1. To control register shortages, the safe count, and any other issues of fiscal responsibility on your shift.
2. To help in the control of paper shrink and theft on your shift.
3. To maintain operational control and order, as well as Guest comfort, on your shift.
Objectives:
1. To help in the training and development process of newer associates.
2. To monitor and enhance the physical appearance of the building through ongoing recovery and overall associate involvement.
3. To follow through on any and all directions (action plans) left by senior management for your attention. |
