Extra heavy-duty wooden canvas stretcher bars create sturdier frames for large works

For those of you who prefer to stretch canvas, Utrecht extra-heavy duty solid wood stretcher bars are ideal for building canvas stretcher frames to support your larger works or for when you prefer the sturdiest canvas frame you can stretch yourself.

The extra wide canvas bars are made from seasoned, kild-dried Ponderosa Pine, are bigger than our standard stretcher bars and feature corners that are slotted and double-mortised to provide your canvas stretcher frame with maximum stability and support. The canvas stretchers are beveled on one side to make mounting your canvas easier.

  • Dimensions: 2 1/4" x 1 1/4"
  • 34 different sizes, from 10" all the way to 96", will meet just about any canvas stretching project's needs
  • All sizes in the line are interchangeable.
  • Purchase individual canvas bars or in economical cartons with 12 stretchers per carton.
