UTRECHT ASSOCIATE JOB DESCRIPTION


Associates at Utrecht create the primary impression with our Guests. This is a position for energetic individuals who genuinely like interacting with other people, who have a strong interest and/or background in the fine and technical arts, and who have a good mathematical or financial mind.


Primary Responsibilities:


  1. To Study the New Associate Orientation handbook, pass the New Associate Certification Exam, and to represent the spirit, as well as the activities, of Utrecht Art Supply, both to our Guests and fellow associates, alike.2.To present our Guests with a positive, attentive, knowledgeable and professional appearance, designed to make them feel appreciated as well as properly served.
  2. To show fiscal and security minded responsibility in tending to the merchandise, the cash registers, the required paperwork, and the policies and procedures of the company.
  3. To follow the directives and action plans of management, both on site and elsewhere.

Secondary Responsibilities:


  1. To participate in recovery, building maintenance and daily cleanup, stock fill-ins, and the proper handling of all merchandise deliveries.
  2. To run a cash register as necessary, and to handle Guest and other business telephone calls, while continuing to place primary concern with Guest activity within the store.
  3. To do such other activities that are requested by store management, such as bulk stacking, end cap or in line resets, shelf tag maintenance, placing of signage, window resets, etc.
  4. To help with the dusting and cleaning, sweeping and mopping, paint, pencil, pastel or other material removal from shelves, fixtures, floors, walls, etc., as necessary for the continual refreshing of the store.
  5. There may be times when unusual, but necessary requests will be made, having to do with snow removal, leaks, or other weather related situations.

  2. 2. To help control the paper shrink and theft on your shift.

  3. 3. To follow through on all directives and action plans left by store management for your attention.
