Moleskine

Moleskine Notebooks, Sketchbooks, Planners, Folios at Utrecht Art Supplies

Moleskine is the artist notebook that has been used by artists and thinkers around the globe for hundreds of years. Artists from Van Gogh to Picasso, writers from Ernest Hemingway to Bruce Chatwin have used Moleskine notebooks. You can use high quality Moleskine notebooks to plan your calendar, hold sketches, notes, stories and ideas before you turn them into works of art.

Moleskine books were originally produced in France by bookbinders who supplied the stationery shops frequented by fine artists. By the end of the twentieth century the Moleskine notebook was no longer available. In 1986, the last manufacturer of Moleskine, a family operation in Tours, closed its doors forever.

In 1998, a Italian publisher brought the Moleskine book back again. The legendary black artists notebook is once again being used as a sketch book, artists journal, artists notebook and more. The Moleskine line features:
