    Experience: PROFESSIONAL

I tend to use Arches brand papers, over any other brand. A bit pricey, yet the paint just "behaves" better on their papers. Hot press delivers a certain mood as in softer...I like to do wildlife on cold press due to the surface giving fur, feathers and even scales more texture...however hot press encourages the paint to flow, layer and hold. I like to do flowers and expressionist work on the hot press. One must be careful, as every little dot remains...wheres as on a cold press or rough one can lift mistakes to some extent. I've used oils on 300 lb hot press and it is luminous...very pretty. I've used enamels and also just several media...all in all my favorite.
