Acme Studio, Inc Imperial Rollerball Writing Pen

Design: Frank Lloyd Wright

This piece is based on the china pattern Wright designed for the “Cabaret” dining room of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan (1915-23; demolished 1968). The image is printed on chrome plated steel case, with a clear epoxy coating.

This image is in many museums collections one of them being the Art Institute of Chicago.

Born in Wisconsin, USA, in 1867, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT grew up to be America’s greatest and most innovative Architect. His legacy is one of America’s foremost cultural treasures.

In 1940, he established The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to protect, preserve and administer his life’s work.

In 1991, "Architectural Record" magazine published a list of the 100 most significant buildings in the world - 11 were by Frank Lloyd Wright.
